Chad Shoemaker
Managing Director

Chad directs the executive leadership team at Tresl. He joined Tresl in 2011 in a business development role overtime accepting expanded responsibilities taking on leadership of the executive team in May of 2017. His focus at Tresl is to create a team that will carry out Tresl’s vision of empowering customers to live independent, fulfilling lives by connecting them with beneficial financial resources. Before joining Tresl, Chad designed and sold corporate employee benefit plans as a sales consultant. He holds a BBA in Marketing from the Richard T. Farmer School of Business at Miami University.

Christine Pierson
President & CEO

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Christine leads Tresl in its efforts to connect our customers with curated auto finance resources in a surprisingly efficient, informative, and compassionate manner. Her focus at Tresl is to galvanize the organization around our Core Values—Character, Customer-centricity, Collaboration, Compassion, & Courage—and to build long-term value for our customers, partners, employees, and other stakeholders. Prior to Tresl, Christine spent 30 years leading and managing sales & operations in B2C and B2B divisions at AT&T, Bayer Corporation, and UMB Financial. Christine holds an MBA from Rockhurst University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri. She is a graduate of the Stonier Executive School of Banking at Wharton.

Gary Watkins
Chief Financial Advisor

Gary joined Tresl in 2018 as CFO and leads the finance and accounting function. His focus at Tresl is to enhance and streamline the financial processes for customers and partners while ensuring a high level of financial control and security. Gary brings 35+ years of experience having held numerous roles within finance and accounting at various organizations, most recently as SVP of Finance and Administration of a privately-held owner representative firm in Denver focused on the development and construction of stadiums and arenas globally. He holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Louisville.

Dave Selz
Chief Information Officer

Dave joined Tresl in January 2007 as Vice President of Information Technology. Dave’s responsibilities include managing all aspects of the technology strategy for Tresl, including both internal- and external-facing customer applications. Dave leads the design, development, and implementation of customer applications and is responsible for providing customized technology solutions for lenders, business partners, and customer end-users. Prior to joining Tresl, Dave spent 17 years in information systems management roles with major fleet management companies, developing their first web-based vehicle management and electronic ordering applications. Dave holds a BS in Management Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Alex Paez-Gerstenhaber
VP of Customer Experience and Operations

Alex joined Tresl in 2019.  As VP of Customer Experience and Operations, Alex leads Tresl in its efforts to unify all customer initiatives and strengthen a persistent customer-first mentality across physical and digital channels. For the last 20 years, Alex has been promoting quality customer experience environments, leveraging culture, technology, and employee satisfaction.  Alex has led and managed customer service & operations in B2C and B2B environments with companies such as Assurant Solutions, RoadVantage, and shopping network ShopLC. Alex holds a law degree from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico, as well as a series of certifications including Business Coach by the International Coaching Community, Baldridge Examiner by the Texas Quality Foundation, and Digital Transformation Strategies by Emeritus Institute of Management and Columbia Business School.

Amy Riggenbach
VP of Human Resources

Amy joined Tresl in 2007, managing employee relations, benefit management, and the development of company policies during a rapid phase of growth. Her focus at Tresl is to recruit and retain employees that uphold the Tresl Core Values. Prior to Tresl, Amy spent 11 years in management within the health and fitness industry. She obtained a BS in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University.

Operations Manager

Brandon leads the document processing, funding, titling, and administration departments at Tresl. He joined Tresl in 2015, beginning in the Quality Assurance department. He grew into managing the customer service dimension of a strategic partnership before accepting the role of Operations Manager. Brandon’s focus at Tresl is to ensure customer-centricity throughout all back-end processes. Before joining Tresl, Brandon worked for an Austin-based restaurant chain in the Facilities Department. He holds a BA in Political Science from Texas State University.

Joe joined Tresl in 2015 as a Finance Advisor, accepting a management role after 18 months. He managed multiple aspects of the sales department before transitioning into his current role managing Tresl’s customer experience teams. His focus at Tresl is to lead the customer experience team in providing a high-level of professional service. Before joining Tresl, Joe served in the United States Navy. He holds a BS from Marist University in Poughkeepsie NY.

Mitchel Janssen
Business Development and Marketing Manager

Mitchel leads the business development, strategic partner management, and marketing functions at Tresl. He joined Tresl in 2016 in a marketing role, overtime accepting expanded responsibilities in the development of strategic lead referral and technology partnerships. His focus at Tresl is to build win-win-win partnerships for customers, partners, and Tresl and to further Tresl’s brand vision of empowering customers to live independent, fulfilling lives by connecting them with beneficial financial resources. Before joining Tresl, Mitchel held a B2B and B2C marketing role at an Austin-area martech startup. He holds a BBA in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
